GUEST SPEAKER

If you’d like your audience to walk away feeling 100% inspired then the words and poetry of Rupert McCall will do the job. He has the wonderful ability to leave people feeling not only good about themselves but the place in which they live. His themes of family value, teamwork, national pride and creative potential motivate a range of emotions and aspirations that ultimately pave the way for great achievement.

SPECIAL POETICAL TRIBUTE

Such a talent honours Rupert with a unique place in the realms of contemporary art. With proper request and brief, he can craft a special poetical tribute to almost anyone or anything whether it be a person, event or an occasion. Recent examples of Rupert’s poetical prowess include his odes to

STEVE IRWIN – ‘The Crocodiles Are Crying’ as recited at Irwin’s memorial
GALLIPOLI – ’90 Years Ago’ as recited at the Prelude to the Dawn Service at Anzac Cove on the 90th anniversary of the landing
GRANT HACKETT – ‘The Laps of the God’ as recited at the Australian Export Awards in 2004
THE AUST GRAND PRIX – ‘The Beauty of Speed’ as performed with full orchestra backing at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne for the 25th anniversary of the race
BACKYARD CRICKET – ‘A Land of Backyard Cricketers’ as recited at the Allan Border Medal Dinner in 2001
JOCK MCHALE – ‘The Legend Jock McHale’ as recited at his induction to the AFL Hall of Fame in 2005
QUEENSLAND – ‘Q150’ a tribute to 150 Queensland icons recited at the Premier’s official launch in the state’s 150th birthday celebrations

Rupert is just as accomplished writing and performing in high profile corporate environments as he is on the domestic scene for anniversaries, birthdays and weddings.

POET IN RESIDENCE

Years of writing topical, impromptu pieces (in an hour!) for radio station 4BC stands Rupert in good stead to achieve the same at your conference with the same breathtaking results. He tried this out at the (2 day) International Conference for Mental Health in 2009 – summarizing sessions, speakers and themes in prose and poetry – such was the impact, the audience’s unanimous applause defined the magic of the moment.

TRAVEL HOST

Rupert has now compiled a traveling resume of hosting tours to Turkey (Gallipoli 2005), Egypt (2006) Ireland (2008) and Melbourne (for State of Origin 1 2009) – all for Harvey World Travel plus France (2007 Rugby World Cup) for Keith Prowse Travel and Hong Kong (Bledisloe Cup 2008) for Fosters. He is just as comfortable and competent in hosting and entertaining everyday Australians as he is corporate crews.
for anniversaries, birthdays and weddings.
